Great Start Readiness Program

FALL PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION for Algonac’s Great Start Readiness Program will be during Kindergarten round up at your local elementary schools.
Great Start Readiness is a grant based preschool for children who qualify under guidelines set forth by the state. It is a program that offers four half-day sessions of preschool per week taught by a certified teacher in early childhood development and specialized trained staff. The preschool follows a High Scope Curriculum.
Parents and Guardians of children that will be 4 years old on or before December 1 are welcome to register their children. Applications are then reviewed for qualifying factors.
For registration you will need to bring the following: your child’s Birth Certificate, and proof of income.
If your child is admitted, immunizations and health appraisal will need to be completed.
