17/18 Service Projects/Volunteer Opportunities (you must have 12 hours of community serive this year) Also you need 75 community service hours to earn your honor cord for graduation. 


  • We hosted a back to school "school supply" drive. 
  • November 28, 2017 we hosted a Red Cross Blood Drive. 
  • We offer FREE turoring to all Algonac Jr/Sr High School students every Monday & Wednesday in the school library. 2:30-3:30 PM. 
  • We did a holiday card drive to members of the communitiy who live alone.
  • We sold candy grams at Christmas time and donated the money to Student Council to help assist families in need with Christmas gifts. 
  • We assisted at the Holdiay Baazar at Algonquin Elementary with gift wrapping from 10:00 AM-3:30 PM.
  • We hosted another Blood Drive in March 21, 2018.
  • We will host a Color Run Fundraiser May 12, 2018

NHS Application for Membership

Membership Information:

Please read the By-Laws as you will be signing your agreement to them upon membership.

Junior and Senior students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher have received an invitation to submit an application for memberhip in the National Honor Society. 
Please remember that an invitation to apply does not ensure membership.

NHS members must demonstrate exemplary character, service to school and community and proven leadership in addition to the minimum cumulative GPA requirement of 3.4

Service Hours : All students will complete a service hours form and have signed by supervisor for service hours. Documentation will be kept in a folder with a running total of hours. A total of 12 hours of service is required per school year. Senior hours are due no later than Friday, May 6th at 8:00 a.m. Service hours for juniors are due no later than Friday, June 9, 2017.
